Business casual dress code for men
In today’s business environment, strict dress codes are increasingly taking a back seat, making way for more relaxed and flexible styles under the term 'business casual.'
Business casual strikes the perfect balance between professionalism, elegance, and flexibility in clothing and footwear choices. Ties are generally left out, but long-sleeved shirts with collars are still a staple. In some workplaces, polo shirts or short-sleeved shirts are also acceptable, especially in warmer months.
A blazer is usually optional but makes a great addition that elevates the whole outfit. Neutral colours such as grey, black, or navy are always a safe choice. Alternatively, a lightweight jumper worn over a collared shirt is another good option, ensuring the shirt collar remains visible for a smart look.
When it comes to trousers, chinos are an excellent choice as they’re comfortable yet still refined. For footwear, smart options like loafers or dress shoes work well, while trainers and sandals are best avoided.
